Born in Iran In 1980, Nasim spent her childhood in Italy, surrounded by art and inspiration. In 2003 she earned a Bachelor's degree in visual communication from the American University of Sharjah, UAE and headed to the United States to complete her master's degree in illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
After five years of teaching art and design at Zayed University in Dubai, she now calls Toronto home, living her Canadian artistic dream. Nasim is constantly looking for ideas and inspirations to create narratives and stories to illustrate. She is currently a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and works as a freelance illustrator and sessional instructor at OCAD University.
