Learn how to make readers laugh, cry, and shiver with the art of character design, comic panel creation, and storytelling through narrative illustration.
In this virtual class, you can build your illustration portfolio and develop your own art style with the guidance of an experienced professional illustrator. With the help of your mentor, you’ll master the art of digital illustration and comics. This online art program focuses on the technical aspects behind panel illustration in both black and white and full colour, plus writing techniques.
This class runs weekly and is suitable for teens and adults. Students may choose their own subjects and get personalised guidance and feedback from their mentor.

🟧 Digital Illustration Mentorship: (Dec 29 - 31, 2025)
With guidance from a professional mentor, develop your illustration skills in this program, running for an additional three days over the winter break. This camp focuses on the art of digital illustration while catering projects and demonstrations to the goals of the students in teh class. This camp runs for three days (similar to the weekly Digital Illustration Mentorship that runs throughout the year).

Mentorships aren’t just about learning how to create digital art, but also about learning how to navigate the art world with an instructor that has already done so. You’ll be given a place to explore your artistic passions while learning valuable information about digital illustrations, portfolios, careers, and art opportunities.
Students will focus on creating a personal body of work with the guidance of a skilled professional digital illustrator.
Digital Illustration & Comics topics may include:

Page layout design and typesetting
Advanced cartooning, stylization and posing
Digital rendering techniques and colour theory
This program is taught step by step using digital mediums. Student are welcome to use whatever digital program they are most comfortable with, and traditional mediums are also welcome!
