Interested in building your art portfolio, mastering techniques, or expanding your personal drawing or painting practice? This advanced mentorship offers teens and adults a space to learn from professional artists in small online classes so that you can get personal guidance on your work!
Students may work on class assignments (which are catered to the interests of the group) or individual / independent art projects with guidance from their mentor. Students also have the ability to work in any medium they choose, and request custom demos to improve on specific techniques!
🤓 What to Expect in Class
Every mentorship class combines live group critiques and step by step demonstrations in technical and expressive drawing. This class is structured like a college art course, where your artworks are given a chance to flourish, evolve, and be discussed with others.
Mentorship students are encouraged to share their ideas, sketches, challenges and successes with the class to learn how to navigate the creative process together in a supportive environment.
Mentorships aren’t just about learning how to draw, but also about learning how to navigate the art world with an artist mentor that has already done so. You’ll be given a place to explore your artistic passions while learning valuable information about drawing, portfolios, careers, networking, exhibitions and other art opportunities.

Note: You may also draw or paint digitally. Not all mediums listed above are required. You may choose to work in your preferred mediums, but you'll be exposed to the properties and techniques of different mediums in group demos!

For the best online experience, we recommend using a webcam and mic so our teacher may provide instant feedback. Students without a webcam/mic may use text chat, and get individual feedback online through Google Classrooms.
