🟨 Illustrated Animation Camp

Join instructor Josh Chan for a three-day camp designed to bring your digital illustrations to life. This class can be taken Live or accessed through our Recorded Learning Option.

You'll focus on illustration techniques and the fundamental skills needed to animate simple components of your artwork. You will complete an original "Star Struck" character illustration and learn how to animate elements within the scene.

This is a Level 2 class designed for intermediate to advanced students. Please note: This is a three-day camp, and registration is only available for the full three-day session.

🟨 Illustrated Animation Class

Learn illustration and animation techniques in this project-based class running throughout January - March 2026. Available Live or Recorded Learning Option.

Each project will focus on different subject matter, with the goal of aniamting illustrations. Some of these projects include:

This is a Level 2 class designed for intermediate to advanced students. Please note: To register for the project, you are required to register for the full 3 - 4 weeks the project takes to be completed.

Learn animation basics through this self-paced course taught by instructor Josh Chan on our Skool platform. Learn the fundamental skills needed to transform static drawings into dynamic, moving artwork.

You'll gain practical experience by completing foundational animation projects, including a walk cycle, head turn, and jump sequence.

✍ Art Materials

This animation course focuses on traditional (hand-drawn) animation techniques but is taught digitally, so you can enjoy the efficiency of digital art shortcuts! Students are welcome to use Krita, (a free and robust program we recommend) Procreate, Clip Studio Paint, or any digital software if they are familiar with the animation tools.

Recommended Programs:

Krita (FREE - recommended & used by teachers, only Windows compatible) Watch a tutorial
Procreate (paid, iPad only)

Note: Feel free to use any program you're familiar with. Most offer similar tools, but some are able to create animations.
