Learn the digital art fundamentals needed to design character art, build backgrounds, draw realistic objects & more techniques using your computer, iPad, or tablet. Level 1 classes are taught step-by-step and suitable for beginners. Level 2 classes are designed for intermediate to advanced students.

Online Art Class Details
🟩 Level 1
Digital Art 1 is an easy and fun way for total beginners to get introduced to drawing software and start developing their digital art techniques. If you’ve casually dabbled in digital art before, this class is a great way to explore more techniques.
You’ll build your digital drawing skills step by step and practice art fundamentals using the Medibang drawing app (or an app of your choice if you're already familiar).

Want to explore the world of digital art and draw using technology? This virtual art class will guide you through all of the steps you need to create art digitally. Learn how to make digital art from professional artists in small online classes and get personalised guidance on your artwork.
🕒 Most digital art projects will be completed in the 1.5-hour classes, but some assignments may take 2 or more weeks.
📥 You’ll have the option of sharing your progress and getting live feedback. If you need additional time to finish your artwork after class, you may upload your finished drawings for written feedback from your instructor.
🗓️ Digital Art Foundations is a live virtual art class that is held weekly and ongoing throughout the year. It is also offered as a weekly recorded learning option, an online course, and a seasonal daily camp.
🔑 Consistent practice is key to growth and improvement, so most students enrol in a membership and continue learning with us for years.
✅ If you start a class and feel like it is too challenging or not challenging enough, we will transfer you to another level and waive any admin fees.
Digital Art Foundations is a great online art enrichment program for artists of all ages from 9 to 99. Digital Art class demos are done live on MediBang Paint Pro, a free digital painting app we recommend for beginners. Check out our MediBang Video Tutorial to see what it can do. You may also use any app of your choice – as long as you’re familiar with the tools and functions like layers, blending modes, and how to transform.

For the best online experience, we recommend using a webcam and mic so our teacher may provide instant feedback. Students without a webcam/mic may use text chat, and get individual feedback online through Google Classrooms.
